I Love Vinyl is back at our new monthly home at The Panther Room at Ouput onThursday, Nov. 12. The parties there get better every time and the last one was pure fire. Not sure what would be hotter than fire, but the upcoming party will definitely be that. The bomb? Boom.

This time we are joined by great friends and djs Danilo Braca aka danyb of TSoNYC The Sound of New York City and Jennifer Duchess Nash aka The Duchess. They will rotate in with us at the beginning and end of the night. Our cup truly doth run over, innit?

The Magic Number, Panther's fledgeling Thursday night series, tasked with breaking down the barriers of Output's house & techno orthodoxy, presents I Love Vinyl as their first and only monthly residency. Kick-ass mixer, isolator and eq provided by Alpha Recording System.

MEDIA ALERT: PETER GABRIEL AND WITNESS CELEBRATE 11TH ANNUAL FOCUS FOR CHANGE BENEFIT, NOVEMBER 12, 2015

Performances by Sebu Simonian of Capital Cities, Black Violin, DJ Scribe & OP!

Honoring Philippe Dauman, Viacom President & CEO

New York, November 2, 2015 –  The 2015 Focus for Change Benefit dinner and concert for WITNESS, the international human rights organization, will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at ArtBeam.

A combination of musical performances, inspiring stories from human rights activists, and a community of supporters representing the arts, journalism, philanthropy, tech and more come together for one of most inspirational events in New York City.

WITNESS trains and supports people to use video safely, ethically, and effectively for human rights worldwide. More people than ever are using video to expose the truth, yet they often lack the tools and skills to turn their videos into justice. Too often their footage is difficult to verify, lost completely, or simply does not contain the information needed for a court of law. This year’s Benefit theme “Video for Justice” highlights WITNESS’ work connecting activists and lawyers to ensure they understand each other’s needs and challenges in order to increase the potential of video as a tool for justice.

For more information about the event, visit http://focusforchange.org. More about WITNESS http://witness.org

It's official. I Love Vinyl has a new monthly home at The Panther Room at Ouput and we are happier than feet. As far as we're concerned, it's a sonic marriage made in the analog heaven of our dusty crate-laden dreams. The Magic Number, Panther's fledgeling Thursday night series, tasked with breaking down the barriers of Output's house & techno orthodoxy, is presenting I Love Vinyl as their first monthly residency. And we plan to take full advantage, working the knobs, and the crowd into a frenzy, with the added bonuses of mixer/isolator/eq courtesy of Alpha Recording Systemlights by the legendary Ariel, and a no-cover door policy, for the time being.

plus our good friend and great dj Danilo Braca aka danyb of TSoNYC The Sound of New York City and Alpha Recording System will rotate in with us at the beginning and end of the night. nice!

Afrokinetic returns to the303 on Saturday, October 10 to celebrate OP!'s birthday!!!

Resident selectors Chris Annibell & OP! will be in the booth. To make this event truly special, we've invited our dear friend Mark de Clive-Lowe to join us for a REMIX:LIVE performance.

What this means is MdCL will be writing, producing, sequencing and performing remixes, in real time on stage. It is absolutely beautiful to hear, see and experience. Watch his 'One Take' video on youtube and get a taste of what's to come.  https://youtu.be/GCAyAlYyTv8

This will be the fourth time Mark graces the stage at AFROKINETIC and we can't wait to get this party started!!!

We are moving on to bigger, better, and more Brooklyn-y kinda things. As we haven't settled on a new home yet, for the time being we shall be gleefully nomadic, making the most out of the last sliver of summer to bounce around the borough.

To kick off this new journey we will be playing at the still pretty brand new C'monEverybody in Bed Stuy on the 29th. Come out and celebrate the last of the warm weather with us. As always we will be serving up a unique mix of the highest quality dance music, old and new, on vinyl, of course, that you are not going to hear anywhere else. Really. We dare you to prove us wrong.

On Saturday, April 18, Chris Annibell and OP! return to Louie & Chan at the303 for the Spring-time edition of AFROKINETIC!!!

February’s event was absolutely phenomenal! The venue packed-out early, the vibe was banana’s and the dance floor was jumping till the bitter end. All of that, during THE coldest month of the year!!!!! Thankfully, those days are done; spring has returned, and we are all ready to celebrate!!! Longer days, shorter nights, BBQ’s and iced cold brews, sun-kissed daydreams on Brownstone stoops, on Sunday afternoons… Spring fever is here and we are ready to throw one hell of a party!!

To make this event just a little bit sweeter, I’m am happy to announce that OP! has officially been asked to join the AFROKINETIC family, and has accepted the title, resident DJ. He has been an avid supporter of the event for nearly a decade, a frequent guest, an accomplished DJ in his own right; and I am happy to share the decks with him. Please show love and welcome him.
